Role Overview: 

The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for overseeing all aspects related to global corporate taxes within Eptura while working with service providers.  This includes supporting/managing tax provision calculation and consolidation under US GAAP, global tax compliance and transfer pricing regulations in all our filing locations, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation, and providing guidance on tax planning strategies.    

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Worldwide Income Tax Provision process including Tax memos, Uncertain Tax Positions, and related financial statement disclosures. Partner with accounting team to obtain data, work with international accounting on calculations and coordinate with outside tax service providers. Manage the provision review engagement with external Auditors. 
  • Coordinate with outside tax service providers for US income tax compliance, review of federal and state income tax returns, Form 5471s, GILTI (Global Intangible Low Taxed Income), Section 41 research tax credit (federal and state), Section 174 capitalization/amortization, Foreign Tax Credits, Section 382 & 383 limitations, and accounting method changes. This will include managing the PBC data flow from accounting to outside tax service providers and preparation of book to taxable income differences and schedules. Assist with quarterly tax estimate tax calculations and payments. Manage preparation of the Report of Financial Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) and assist legal with Secretary of State filings (SOS). 
  • Collaborate with international finance teams and third-party consultants to ensure the timely and accurate filing of foreign tax returns, including tie-out of tax returns and adherence to company global tax compliance protocols. 
  • Manage US federal, state, and foreign income tax audits. Respond to tax auditor requests with the goal of mitigating risk and cost. Respond timely and effectively to taxing authority notices. Identify areas for improvement or tax positions that impact future tax filings and positions based on closed audits. 
  • Support with tax planning initiatives and special projects including tax strategies and structuring for mergers and acquisitions as well as implementation.  
  • Draft technical memos to memorialize tax positions and suggest changes where appropriate. 
  • Monitor US and non-US tax developments to ensure compliance and operating efficiency related to rule changes and other global tax initiatives, including tax accounting, and reporting implications. 
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with external tax advisors globally.  

 

About you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or taxation field. Master’s degree and/or CPA is strongly preferred 
  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate tax provision and compliance for multinational company. Combination of public accounting and SaaS industry experience preferred.  
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with tax authorities 
  • Strong technical knowledge of income tax and accounting for income taxes under U.S. GAAP. 
  • Ability to handle tax matters in jurisdictions outside of the US. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong research skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build relationships with tax authorities. 
  • Proficient in using tax software and other relevant tools to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency
