About the opportunity:

We’re looking for project engineer position to work closely with the project team and our client to fulfill the assigned project tasks in a timely manner. This position includes direct interaction with 
the internal support team, subcontractors/vendors and customer’s project team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Complete project tasks assigned with schedules provided by the Project Manager.
  • Supervise third party vendors/subcontractors who support the integration, installation and other deployment activities required to effectively execute installation projects/deployments.
  • Maintain open communication with project manager and support team to ensure continuity and success in each customer-oriented project.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with many different teams and cultures.
  • Excellent Technical Knowledge and Customer Service Skills to manage the key account contract customers from Professional Service.
  • Assist Project Manager to identify appropriate equipment, special materials and physical modifications required to complete the project and key account’s service needs.
  • Complete the project process and post service needs according to Service Contract signed by Christie.
  • Inform project manager with continuous updates on progress and issues. Review, Comment and markup all System drawings as needed including but not limited to:
  • Review any Christie generated drawings or plans, Display support structures; wiring plans   (Power, device to device cable plant, DisplayPort cable Plant for MicroTile systems);
  • Review device location drawings; network drawings; and ip schedules
  • Review the project sales order, Bill of Materials, OA and coordinate with Project Management, Project Coordinator and possibly to ensure the correct quantities have been ordered and are scheduled to be delivered to the site.
  • Attend Internal Review meeting with Sales, Project management and Engineering team all dealer generated AV system and Network drawings
  • After internal review another design review with dealer or end user as part of the project kickoff process
  • Review Architectural drawing set including HVAC, Electrical, structural or system support or location; and Millwork elements(shelves, alcoves, niche and cut out dimensions); and finish schedules to identify any conflicts or missing information
  • Send markup back to Project manager and Christie engineering to update Christie released set.
  • Coordinate any revisions with Christie Project manager and end user or dealer team
  • Participate in Project kickoff meeting with Christie team (Sales, Project Management, Project Coordinator, Site Supervisors Managers…) and dealer and/or End User stakeholders if needed

The experience and skills we value:

  • B.E/ B. Tech degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years minimum hands-on experience
  • Familiarity with the installation and operation of a diverse range of audio-visual, Networking, & projection equipment, and the overview of their integration:
  • CDS lamp and laser projection system
  • CDS DLP/LCD equipment
  • Cinema sound systems (speakers/amplifiers etc)
  • Cinema analog & digital cinema processors
  • Miscellaneous associated equipment
  • Low Voltage cabling
  • Technical writing skills. (Written & graphical communication at various user-levels).
  • Effectively language skill – English is essential for the role and other local dialect will be beneficial.

 

What will put you ahead:

  • Network and or theatre systems installation or maintenance.
  • Technical and or theatre skills
  • Usage of all common computer applications – Microsoft Excel, Visio, Power Point,
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Cinema related experience
