About the Opportunity:

We are looking for a Customer Service Engineer for our Professional Services Team in the EMEA region. As key member of the team, you will be involved in providing field-based product repair, maintenance and installation services. 80% of activities will be performed on site throughout the EMEA region. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform emergency service at the client’s locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of OSA system, Interactive media systems, related equipment and Digital Cinema projectors and systems.
  • Work closely with suppliers, NOC team, subcontractors and internal support team to ensure we can deliver our SLA commitments.
  • Complete installations, repairs and advanced service procedures on-site, including reactive and proactive maintenance and decommissioning with minimal or no supervision. Frequently travel to customer sites on short notice.
  • Diagnose and repair complex technical problems as well as research complex customer issues to ensure timely resolution of Tier 2 issues.
  • Keep customers informed of progress and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Provide service feedback through site reports to report issues to the marketing, engineering and production departments for future planning and product updates.
  • Train end users in the proper use and operation of OSA system and related digital equipment.  
  • Assist with pre-show and pre-demo set up and build to support ongoing tradeshow and demo activities.
  • Leverage experience and judgment to assist the Customer Service Team on all technical work relating to CDS field service applications.
  • Perform visual inspection of returned goods if required.
  • Provide technical repair- and inspection services on Customer repairs, refurbishments, maintenance of the Demonstration Equipment, Quality Inspections etc. in Christie EMEA workshops & onsite.

Location: UK, remote role.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a technical/ engineering field (Electrical/ Mechanical or Software)
  • High knowledge of analogue and digital theory related to Cinema projectors
  • 4+ years of Field Application Engineer or related technical experience
  • 3+ years in high-tech manufacturing environment
  • Multilingual in English, and other EU languages as an asset
  • Ability and willingness to travel both nationally and internationally, as required (>90%)

 

Experience in the following is an asset:

  • High Level of knowledge of Digital cinema projectors
  • Good troubleshooting skills and Time Management skills
  • Working experience in installment of Christie products
