Manager, Global Cash

This is a Hybrid role based in Cypress, CA – This is not a fully remote position.

Responsibilities:

 

Leadership and Management

 

  • Provide leadership and oversight over the Team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Design and set key performance indicators (KPIs) by which the Team’s performance can be measured, perform timely and robust reviews of the Team’s deliverables (timeliness, accuracy and quality) against set KPIs, Implement improvement and corrective measures as necessary
  • Carry out performance appraisals, coaching and mentoring and performance improvement plans in accordance with HR guidelines
  • Actively support and guide the Team in resolving issues, building and sustaining relationships and promoting teamwork within the Team, with other departments and with external parties
  • Provide training and development, foster learning and innovation
  • Administer timely approvals of transactions, journal entries and reports in accordance to stipulated signatory and approval limits
  • Be flexible and willing to support ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by Director, Global Treasury
  • Take direction from Director, Global Treasury on how the Team’s objectives and initiatives fit into the Finance department’s overall strategy and goals

 

Cash Management

  • Oversee the daily reconciliation of all company bank accounts
  • Oversee the distribution and accuracy of daily cash positioning reports
  • Troubleshoot daily transaction issues and daily banking transmission files
  • Oversee cash application transactions and collaborate with Manager, AR Credit & Collection on shared initiatives
  • Oversee the completion of supplier payments and collaborate with Supervisor, Accounts Payable on shared initiatives
  • Oversee intercompany settlements and netting across global business
  • Partner with the Treasury Manager (APAC) to align all cash management processes on procedures
  • Manage, maintain, and administer bank relationships, reporting, and bank portals
  • Leverage existing banking relationships to open, manage and maintain global bank accounts
  • Monitor and oversee existing bank account services and signatories
  • Evaluate and recommend banking products, services and platforms as appropriate
  • Monitor FX exposures and develop recommendations to create natural currency hedges
  • Track cash investment and borrowing activities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for cash and liquidity management, as well as banking structure management, ensuring they meet regional compliance and operational efficiency standards
  • Actively participate and partner with relevant teams in leading the design and ongoing enhancement of cash flow forecasting models to accurately predict future cash positions and effectively manage financial resources
  • Collaborate with Accounting and Tax teams to ensure all cash management practices align with regulatory requirements and internal controls, including JSOX compliance
  • Update and ensure compliance with FBAR, FACTA, Dodd Frank and ISDA, and any other rules governing cash transactions and banking
  • Lead the cash management month-end close process including the review and accurate and timely recording of cash activity to the general ledger, including the review of balance sheet reconciliations, support of quarterly financial reporting and queries from management and auditors

The experience and skills we value:

  •  Certification or enrollment in Treasury program (e.g. Certified Treasury Professional – CTP) preferred
  • Strong understanding of cash management, treasury, and banking products
  • Financial knowledge such as forecasting, financial planning, and budgeting, interpreting performance data and identifying opportunities, and understanding regulatory frameworks and compliance
  • Three (3) or more years in leadership role, preferably with global or international experience
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business preferred
  • Experience in security devices i.e. international banking procedures and documentation, Letters of Credit, financing instruments
  • Financial controls, systems and process implementation and improvement experience
  • Sound knowledge of financial risks, internal controls, audit and compliance
  • Experience in ERP systems is a must, JD Edwards & Oracle Fusion experience preferred
  • Conversant with MS Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word); Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Experience in reporting and business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, Hyperion, OBIEE) is a plus
  • Excellent and effective communication and written skills
  • Analytical skills, both numerically as well as interpreting financial data and making sound observations and recommendations
