We are seeking an experienced Technical Venue Account Manager to maintain and develop our relationship within a large high end London venue.

 

We’re looking for a candidate with extensive technical and account management experience working with high end venues and clients in the audio visual events sector.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent account management skills, the ability to multitask and should thrive under pressure in a fast paced environment.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Acting as the main point of contact you will work with the venue to sell space and promote our services, identify new opportunities and develop new ideas.
  • Manage clients’ technical requirements, liaising as to client specifications, providing technical advice and support from the point of quote through to the event delivery and derig.
  • Assisting with the supervision of the on-site technical team, providing technical advice as needed to ensure that the delivery of the job is both efficient and technically sound.
  • Undertaking on site technical/technician duties & tasks as required.
  • When acting as the lead 4Wall representative on-site, ensuring appropriate oversight of all internal crew, external contractors and all equipment.
  • Participating in the on-site technical team rota to ensure adequate cover is provided for out of hours events.  To include overnight stays and weekend work as required.
  • Oversee the rigging within the venue to ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Liaising with clients and our wider team both in advance of and during an event to ensure that the client receives the highest level of service at all times.
  • Ensuring all administration is completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Contributing to post-event review meetings and regular Sales meetings.
  • Commuting to our HQ to attend meetings and training as required.

Qualifications and pre-requisites

  • Experience in account management of large scale conferences and live technical events.
  • A broad technical knowledge base across all areas of video, sound, lighting, networking and IT.
  • Rigging experience.
  • Commercial awareness and budgetary skills to demonstrate a clear understanding of company business and the ability to effectively balance cost, quality and ensure profitability.
  • The ability to work well in a fast paced environment.
  • Flexibility – the ability to facilitate overtime including early mornings, late evenings and some weekend working (and overnight stays as necessary)
  • Highly client focused (as delivering the best quality service to our clients is at the heart of what we do)
  • A great team player.

Working Hours

 

Full time – a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday- Friday.

 

Overtime will be required as necessitated by the needs of the business which will include early mornings, late evenings and weekends.  Overnight stays will also be required.  The ability to facilitate this is key as the needs of the business are paramount.

 

Physical Requirements

 

The duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly use a computer, sit, stand and walk, as well as push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel, and lift and/or move 25kg.

 

Other physical requirements of the role include communication, excellent aural skills and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
