Title:                            Quality Assurance Inspector 

Reports to:                  QA Supervisor – Specifications & Change Control

Department:               Quality Assurance

Supervises:                  N/A

Organizational Relationships:          

Quality Assurance Department, Manufacturing/Production, Assembly Lines, and direct customer contact.  Including interaction between operational groups, CSR’s, Logistics and customer contacts.

Basic Function: 

  1. Performs in-process inspection and finished product audit to assure production and packaging conformance to specifications and standards.
  2. Co-ordinate specific customer samples and associated correspondence.
  3. Receive, package, and ship all Finished Goods and/or subassemblies for submission to the customer.

Responsibilities

  1. Reviews samples and assembly line documentation to ensure conformance to customer requirements and specifications.
  2. Transfers completed worksheets and related documents to Quality Control lab, Pharmaceutical/OTC Clerk, as required.
  3. Performs finished good audits of completed products in the warehouse.  Prepare documentation of same for review by supervisor.
  4. Maintains awareness and compliance with safety regulations in performing job duties.
  5. Upon receipt of samples, develop shipping tickets and other documentation appropriate for sending same by Fed Ex, UPS, or Express Mail.  Packages may also include miscellaneous packages submitted by operational groups.
  6. Fill out required customer submission forms that must accompany samples.
  7. Develop and maintain an accurate customer contact list and addresses.
  8. Prepare samples for retain room storage and maintain retain room.
  9. All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of one year of experience in cosmetic or pharmaceutical inspection process.
  3. Good math skills.
  4. Ability to read and interpret internal and external sampling plans and effectively report results.
  5. Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
