MENTAL HEALTH RESIDENTIAL SUPERVISOR/MONMOUTH COUNTY

 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Residential Supervisor to join our team!

 

The ideal candidate will lead a team of mental health professionals in providing high-quality care and support to residents in our mental health facility. This role is integral to maintaining a therapeutic environment and ensuring the well-being of our residents.

 

What will you do?

 

  • Provides effective leadership to Residential Counselors, overseeing the day-to-day team’s operation and performance.
  • Drives the delivery of high-quality services and ensures successful consumer outcomes in accordance with Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP).
  • Responds to consumer/ customer questions, concerns and grievances in a timely manner and in adherence to Easterseals Core Values.
  • Ensures services are in compliance with all licensing, regulatory, accreditation and Easterseals New Jersey’s policies and procedures.
  • Provides a supportive, engaging, motivating and positive work environment that will boost employee engagement and performance.

 Essential Functions:

  • Travels throughout the county when necessary.
  • Available on-call 24/7 as needed.
  • Provides a wide range of staff training and development.
  • Ensure quarterly Environment of Care Inspections (EOC) is conducted.
  • Supervise medication management; Fire Safety hazards; all property remediation is handled in a timely manner
  • Communicates effectively (written and verbal) with internal staff, participants, families and external agencies.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Leads the residential team to provide outstanding quality services with a high level of customer satisfaction in accordance to Easterseals Core Values and policies and procedures.
  • Effectively manages staff performance by conducting regular feedback discussions; addresses performance issues in a timely fashion and makes certain that staff demonstrates ENJ’s Core Values at all times.
  • Responds in a timely manner to all consumers and customers questions, concerns and complaints
  • Ensures that staff is kept abreast of all organization/division-wide initiatives and events.
  • Conducts quarterly Environment of Care (EOC) and ensures remediations are completed
  • Hires qualified staff and guarantees the successful introduction to ENJ and the timely completion of all on-boarding training.
  • Creates and implements improvement of services and operations.
  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality services in accordance with all licensing and regulatory compliance regulations.
  • Ensures Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP) are completed every 90 days and incorporates Nursing recommendations.
  • Develops/manages financial budgets; analyzes revenue/expenditures; reports discrepancies and develops action plans to remediate.
  • Guides/supports staff regarding crisis intervention, wellness and recovery and other consumer-related topics.
  • Oversees accurate and timely billing of services.
  • Audits charts on a monthly basis to ensure compliance of Electronic Health Record (EHR) procedures; ensures daily billing and program notes are completed accurately and are submitted according to prescribed timeframes.
  • Conducts monthly EHR documentation audits.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Health or Human Services or a combination of one or more years of college, plus related life or work experience equal to four years or High School or GED plus four years of related work or life experience.
  • One year experience in a mental health residential setting required.
  • One year of management experience required.
  • Proven effective leadership and organizational skills; must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer skills and comfortable learning new programs.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
