Life Changing Field Assembler - Danielson, CT

Lifeway Mobility, an accessibility solutions company that provides a wide variety of ramps, stair lifts, wheelchair lifts, transfer aids, and bath safety solutions to individuals and businesses in 12 states and growing, has an immediate need for a Field Assembler, this position could turn into a 4-year, paid elevator apprenticeship program. This is an exciting career opportunity for someone who loves working with their hands, has mechanical aptitude, and wants to help individuals with limited mobility.

What will you do?

• Assist with and install and repair accessibility products including stairlifts, elevators and platform lifts
• Explain the product to the customer and answer questions
• Receive manufacturer training and on-the-job training (paid time)
• Work on jobs throughout CT and RI
• Work on both residential and commercial installations
• Jobs may take several hours to several days (weekends optional)

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Experience using hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills
• Strong customer focus and communication skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background screen

Physical requirements include the following:

• Ability to lift 75+ lbs
• Frequent overhead work
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments year-round
• Ability to climb ladders, crouch, and occasionally work in confined spaces and at height
