How you’ll make a difference:

You will be responsible for developing and executing a strong, positive government relations and advocacy program for PMI in Europe. You will be fostering a community relationship network with targeted EU government agencies and offices. This will be an aligned approach with PMI’s global strategy and coincide with the set regional priorities for PMI in Europe.

You will work with EU and selected national government entities which influence policy making, regulatory affairs, and legislation that benefit from the practice of project management. Key outcomes include building awareness, acceptance and adoption of PMIs project management standards and certification in government, and raising the profile of project management as a discipline.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • or related degree strongly preferred.Master of Business Administration
  • At least ten years of progressively responsible management level experience in government relations; business development; or global market development with demonstrated deliverables toward broadening markets; research and development; and related business development activities.
  • Proven experiences and successes in developing and executing government relations and advocacy programs at the European level, a plus: in the project management competency field.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including the ability to work with individuals in prominent and influential positions across diverse sectors and cultures.
  • Proven planning and relationship management in building long range and long-term actions and relationships.
  • Success partnering and communicating across matrixed organizations to drive change and accountability
  • Proficiency in the business language for PMI (English)
  • 10-20% travel time required
  • Located or willing to move to Belgium
