POSITION SUMMARY:

The Professional Education Coordinator is primarily responsible for planning, managing logistics, and maintaining support documentation associated with AtriCure staff programs as well as processing all faculty work authorizations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

 

  • Coordinate & support Professional Education Department courses
    • Manage the attendee guest list
    • Communicate agenda details with those attending.
    • Create course invitations and open registration according to schedule
    • On-site contact for hotel, field sales team and physicians
    • Course registration
    • On-site contracting for AV Orders & BEO’s within accordance of our compliance guidelines and budgetary considerations
    • Assembly and shipment of course material
    • Schedule & attend pre-con meetings for each course
    • Reconciliation for all course related costs
  • Responsible for communication with attending physicians from registration through confirmation.
  • Support faculty logistics and travel
  • Manage the Work Authorization process for all contracted faculty conducting business on behalf of AtriCure.  This includes managing faculty authorizations within Professional Education Department as well as other departments within AtriCure who require assistance.
    • Support and assist faculty with logistics and travel as needed. 
    • Responsible for communicating expected services with faculty
  • Maintain and process all paperwork in compliance with company policies and external reporting requirements including the Sunshine Act.
  • Ensure accurate up to date course information for daily reporting
  • Support other PE department personnel on an ad hoc basis

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in communication, advertising, marketing, or related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience or related industry experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to interact with physicians in a professional manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be creative, self-motivated, proactive, intuitive, organized, flexible, and deadline oriented
  • Ability to travel for on-site course execution
  • Expected travel 2-4 days per month
  • Ability to travel 20%

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
