YOUR PROFILE

You are recognized for your autonomy, independence, and your ability to establish trust. You are an excellent communicator and passionate about renewable energy.  You understand the New York Renewable Energy Market and have developed a robust network within the region. You have the desire to work in a company strong with its values and want to continue in a role as a pioneer in the field of renewable energies. 

YOUR CHALLENGE

Reporting to and collaborating with the Director of Development – NYS the candidate will support our project development in United States, by managing early stage renewable energy projects from concept level until ready for construction. The candidate’s responsibilities will include:

  • Work and coordinate projects with a remote and diverse internal team based all over North America;
  • Manage the various stages of project development (including budget, studies, approvals, planning, etc.);
  • Update or prepare project budgets and financial analysis;
  • Analyze requests for proposals and coordinate the preparation of RFP submissions;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landowners and other stakeholders;
  • Ensure liaison with government on relevant issues;
  • Coordinate the review of resource prospecting and analysis;
  • Coordinate the interconnection and regulatory/permitting approval processes;
  • Work with diverse regulatory bodies and stakeholders;
  • Act as the company’s representative;
  • Be the local face of the company and the projects, and making every effort to manage risk and ensure project success.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field or experience in the energy industry is very desirable;
  • Developed renewable energy projects;
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in project development in New York State;
  • Good communication and collaboration skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills and autonomy;
  • Committed to excellence in their work and finding creative ways to deliver high quality projects
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
  • Multi-disciplinary approach to development; able to focus on the details without losing sight of the overall strategy

Candidates residing in or close to NY State are preferred.
