Banquet Kitchen Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY
The banquet kitchen supervisor is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef with overseeing kitchen production. In the absence of the Executive Chef, the banquet kitchen supervisor will lead daily operation.
This position requires flexibility and ability to work days, nights and weekends depending on our scheduled events.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.
• Assist with creating production sheets, perform and assign team member duties according to prep sheets.
• Assist with kitchen inventory.
• Ensure all food items are prepared according to hotel standard and as requested by the guest while adhering to changes.
• Open the kitchen and in the absence of the Executive Chef, handle schedule adjustments to replace team member who has called out.
• Checks and controls the proper storage of product, checking on portion control, especially in specific cuts of meat, to maintain quality product.
• Keeps all refrigeration, equipment, and storage and working areas in clean, working condition to comply with health department regulations.
• Supervise cooks, utility and shipping and receiving team members
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures ensuring health and sanitation standards are met.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Banquet cook experience required, preferably with large volume production.
• Maintain professionalism while setting standard for fellow team members.
• Ability to effectively communicate and convey business information, events and changes to the team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift minimum of 20 pounds.
• Frequent pushing, bending, stooping and reaching.
