3D Artist (Hybrid)

COSCO Home and Office, a division of Dorel, is a trusted expert who improves and simplifies everyday life, offering step stools, ladders, hand trucks, folding furniture, and outdoor furniture for all your home needs. We are looking for a talented 3D Artist who is highly passionate about 3D modeling/texturing/imagery creation and have a developed artistic sense with interest in interior design. This candidate needs to be organized and detail oriented to handle many projects at once while hitting ever-changing deadlines. Candidate will be responsible for creating highly detailed virtual scenes, creating 3D models and textured assets, setting up lighting, cameras, and products to create compelling product Imagery. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter and enthusiastic problem solver.

 

Essential Job Functions

  • Produces 3D models with textures/materials of our products based on real-scale measurements.
  • Creates 3D lifestyle images from scratch for scenes relating to our product categories (i.e. living room, bedroom, home office, garage, outdoor environments, etc.).
  • Sets up lighting on different scenes appropriately.
  • Updates current renderings as needed based on fidelity, trends, styling, details, or fresh perspectives.
  • Coordinate look of renders based on branding strategies.
  • Keeps all deadlines updated so team members can see when projects will be completed.
  • Keeps rendering files organized and follows established file saving guidelines.
  • Provides supportive renderings for any online or physical content and artwork.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in any educational opportunities like reading trade publications or subscribing to related blogs/websites.
  • Brainstorm professional goals to expand/improve on existing job responsibilities.
  • Exudes positive attitude and a flexible workflow to adapt to changing project priorities.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Necessary Skills

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Design, Illustration, CGI, or related field.
  • Prior Experience
    • 0-2 years experience preferred as a 3D Artist
    • Portfolio with proven ability to create high-impact imagery
  • Hard Skills
    • Proven knowledge of photorealistic rendering packages, preferably 3D Studio Max with V-Ray, and Adobe CC
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams
    • Artistic and creative sense to properly style a scene
    • Strong understanding of the principles and practices of photography (camera angles/lighting) and visual aesthetics and trends to relate them to renders.
    • Video-editing capability with Adobe Premiere a plus.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, listening, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Capability to handle multiple projects and timelines with the flexibility to spontaneously switch tasks when necessary.

  •  Physical Requirements
    • Those typical of standard office conditions.
    • Position requires frequent use of vision, hearing, and speaking abilities.
    • Light lifting may occasionally be required.
    • Must be able to walk, stand or sit for extended periods
