The Sales Manager will be responsible for selling products in their product line by implementing and driving sales plans while supervising/coaching their respective sales reps on Meeting Sales Goals, Negotiation, Selling to Customer Needs, Motivation for Sales, Sales Planning, Building Relationships, Coaching, Managing Processes, Market Knowledge, Developing Budgets, and Staffing.
Responsibilities:
- Hits annual unit and revenue targets/plans by implementing sales and marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results of industry. Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting strategic plans toward annual sales quotas for sales reps and territories; projecting expected sales volume for existing and new products.
- Implements sales programs by developing sales action plans, as well as performance measures around them.
- Maintains sales volume and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Completes sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on and monitoring work results.
- Maintains national sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Provides tactical and strategic territory, account, and opportunity leadership to multiple Account Executives who report to them.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending industry events; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Track and analyze leads coming from Tele sales
Knowledge, Skills, Ability, Education & Experience:
- Minimum 5 year’s ERP sales management experience.
- Must have skills to coach and assist reporting reps in relationship and benefit stream selling to “C” Level prospects, ability to understand business flow and articulate software benefits stream to prove out a return on investment.
- Negotiation skills are critical and ability to work with a customer from cold call to close and/or issue resolution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales (preferred in ERP software)
- Proven experience of growing revenue and scaling outside sales teams
- Undergraduate College Degree
- Ability to travel up to 20%
