Salary Job Description
Position Title Associate Manufacturing Engineer
Function/Department Manufacturing Engineering / Operations
Reports to Title: Engineering

Position Summary
Develops process drawings, tooling prints and updates the MRP routing system for new products.
Engages in ongoing projects to continuously improve both process and tooling by reducing costs
and eliminating waste.

Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
● Learns and applies problem solving methods and procedures.
● Develops tooling and process prints and release of component prints.
● Interfaces with customers / plants under the direction of senior engineers.
● Possesses knowledge of and adherence to the requirements of the operations quality systems
   and outside accreditations (ISO14001, TS16949) and provides support to ensure
   recertification.
● Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications-Education/Experience Required:
● Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Sciences or 5 years of fastener experience
   with HS Diploma / GED, and strong working knowledge of mathematics.
● Working knowledge of 2D and 3D AutoCAD.
● Self-motivated, work is directed, but able to contribute / lead on individual tasks.
● Ability to communicate with and understand the needs of the internal and external
   customer.
● Ability to assist in organizing, planning, and executing projects / processes needed to
   design and validate solutions that meet designated performance specifications.
● Knowledge of materials, processes, machining and tolerances.
● Ability to read and understand blueprints.
● Proven level of creative problem solving ability.
● Possesses excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
● Excellent communication skills
● Proficient Microsoft Office software skills

Preferred:
● Knowledge of fastener manufacturing equipment and processes.
● Experience preparing documentation.
● Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen techniques.
● Experience working with outside equipment suppliers.
● Experience using Google for Work.

Travel Requirements: Minimal requirement, 0-5%.
