Position:Supply Chain Finance Manager                              

 

Location: Monterrey, Nuevo León

 

Reports to: Joel Navarro

 

Summary:

 

  • Provide financial support to the Manufacturing, Supply Chain departments, and cost function within the GFMX organization. This includes reporting and analysis for all manufacturing operations within the Monterrey and Atitalaquia plants including (but not limited to) spending, productivity, capacity utilization, variance analysis, budgeting development, and monthly forecasting. The position will ensure inventories are properly valued and standards are accurately set and maintained in the plants.

 

  • Business Process Leader, serving as primary liaison between ERP Functional Team Leaders and the North American Business, for the Microsoft ERP system.

 

Major duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Month-end Responsibilities - Completion of all manufacturing and inventory related reports and journal entries.
  • Responsible for preparation, reconciliation and analysis of month end inventory and cost entries for the closing process as assigned by the MX Finance Director.
  • Assist in the development of the annual manufacturing operating plan and update and maintain annual work center standards and productivity (routing) standards for product portfolio.
  • Assist the MX Finance Director in updating supply chain forecasts during the year.
  • Assigns responsibilities; delegates to and empowers others; removes obstacles; allows for and contributes needed resources; coordinates work efforts when necessary and monitors progress of the team
  • Provide assistance in evaluation of capital expenditures, post audit evaluations and validation of GCI savings.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of company key initiatives supporting the business.
  • Participates in special projects as required/assigned.

 

Business Process Leader Activities

  • General maintenance and administrative functions within the ERP system (adding account numbers, different codes for classifications) under the direction of the ERP team.
  • Drive alignment of correct process execution across all units of their region; Keep things standard between all NA units; Any adjustments to Global blueprint needs to be authorized by ERP Team and Global steering committee.
  • Troubleshoot ERP problems from everyday users. If they cannot be resolved, it is elevated to the ERP Team.
  • Work closely with the ERP Team with evaluation and implementation of new functionalities within DAX.

 

Improvement Activities

  • Identify and support implementation of improvements related to company performance and reporting.
  • Be able to identify root cause of issues and determine best ways to resolve them.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

-

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of five years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two years supervisory experience.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Individual must be able to work with tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer skills are required. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong experience in Microsoft ERP is required.
