Batching Coordinator - Night Shift (11:00pm to 7:00am)

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Mix Plant Supervisor, the Batching Coordinator coordinates the effective operation of the Batching function in collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver customer orders on time, on cost and in compliance with high safety and quality standards.
Major Responsibilities:
- Organizes and coordinates the workflow between the Batching and other departments.
- Uses DAX to read production schedule and assign in sequence to both operators and material handlers.
- Follows FIFO and ensure lot traceability.
- Responsible for ensuring all activities and equipment used are in adherence to safety and food safety policies.
- Create MR as per batching and mixing requirements.
- Ensures replenishment.
- Facilitates the manufacture of blended products to ensure conformance to specifications and process.
- Studies and executes production schedules. Prioritizes and assigns work to meet production schedules and commitments to customers.
- Willingly steps into Operator roles to keep production flowing on time and to stay abreast of Operator practices.
- Effectively utilizes company and people resources to complete assigned work.
- Issues raw material and verify all lot numbers.
- Ensure material requisition material handler service level is as per mixing priorities.
- Ensure all mixers having material (partial/full), and no downtime is incurred due to material shortage.
- Make sure runner, batches and material handlers are working synchronized as per mixing priorities.
- Analyses and resolves work problems or assists employees in solving work problems.
- Maintains time, production, quality, safety and other business records.
- Trains new Operators in the department.
- Maintains high quality standards, addresses and documents quality issues, investigate using Root Cause Analysis and follows up on remedial and corrective actions.
- Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve manufacturing and support processes, practices, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Implements approved changes.
- Communicate effectively with previous and next shifts to have smooth and uninterrupted work.
- Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure commitments to customers are met.
- Coordinates departmental work activities with Plant Management, Materials Management, Scheduling, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering and other shifts.
- Ensures company policies including safety and GMP and hours of work are adhered to by Batching Team Members.
- Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Performs and assists in other functions relating to department needs when necessary.

What Will You Bring?
- College diploma in Business, Supply Chain or related field is considered an asset.
- 5 years’ work experience in a similar manufacturing environment - Required.
- Forklift, low rider operating license - Required.
- A self-starter with excellent computer skills, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Physical requirements: requires lifting of up to 25 kg on a regular basis.
- Shows personal commitment and acts to continuously improve.
- Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude for leadership.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
