Hajoca has over 400 locations nationwide, called Profit Centers; and at the foundation of our family of businesses is a National Support Center (NSC) where Centers of Excellence are dedicated to enabling the success of our Profit Centers.


The People Operations team in our National Support Center (NSC) is looking for a Hiring Team Lead at their Baton Rouge, LA office. 


Pay for this position is between $70,000 and $75,000 per year at this location.

Job Overview:

As the Hiring Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring a companywide smooth and compliant hiring process.  You will contribute to strategies to improve the hiring experience, optimize the candidate selection process and help Hajoca become known as an Employer of Choice.  You will also manage vendor relationships to ensure effective utilization of resources, serve as a point of escalation and support for the Hiring Team, and ensure that day-to-day operations within the Hiring Team are running smoothly.

 

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a resource to People Operations management for improvement of the organization's hiring process, applicant tracking system and candidate attraction strategies by providing actionable recommendations and solutions. 
  • Work collaboratively with all vendors in the hiring space to ensure full utilization of the services available, timely contract renewals, and overall account management. 
  • Maintain a knowledge of industry trends and hiring related legislation and help to ensure the organization's compliance by providing education, tools and collaborating on automated system solutions. 
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to build and cultivate an employer brand strategy and value proposition by creating marketing materials for field use and enhancing social media presence.
  • Analyze recruitment data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven decisions to optimize hiring processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers and others involved in the hiring process that will foster collaboration and open lines of communication between the hiring team and the field.
  • Provide advisement on hiring related matters requiring escalation and consult with People Operations management or legal counsel as appropriate.
  • Maintain job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. 
  • Routinely review published company policies related to hiring and make recommendations for any updates needed. 
  • Ensure adherence to all departmental deadlines for recurring team tasks.
  • Provide support and training opportunities for the Hiring Team and provide mentorship and support for day-to-day Hiring Team operations.
  • Manage requisitions for assigned segments of the company and serve as a back-up for requisition management during team absences.
  • Maintain job aids, process documentation and information resources for the hiring space and ensure that cross-training is kept current for all team tasks.
  • Participate and contribute to key projects that enhance the hiring process.
  • Perform other related duties and/or special projects as required and assigned. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.

 

  • 3+ years’ experience in recruitment and hiring.

 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of hiring processes and compliance with applicable employment laws.

 

  • Experience as a team lead, mentor or supervisor of a hiring operations team

 

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with candidates, hiring managers, vendors and senior executives.

 

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in recruitment metrics and data analysis

 

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Ceridian Dayforce preferred) and other HR software applications

 

  • Experience working with recruitment related vendors (Glassdoor, Indeed, etc.) and using social media to enhance recruiting strategies.

 

  • Success creating companywide strategies for candidate attraction

 

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
