Hendricks Regional Health - Group X - Program Instructor I

GENERAL FUNCTION

Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Program Instructor I will be primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision, in group exercise classes, while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.

KNOW HOW

• A high school diploma and experience leading group exercise is preferred.
• A minimum of 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of basic exercise science, biomechanics principles and fitness class leadership is required.
• Ability to successfully demonstrate aerobic choreography.
• Verbally provide clear concise directions and visually inspect classroom for safety
• Maintain current certifications in CPR AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
