POSITION SUMMARY

The Wellness Specialty Program Instructor II – Pilates is primarily responsible for providing quality leadership and supervision in Pilates classes while maintaining a safe, non-competitive environment for YMCA members.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• National Pilates Certification required
• Minimum of 1 year experience leading group exercise is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience leading Pilates classes required
• Knowledge of basic exercise science, biomechanics principles and fitness class leadership
• Obtain and maintain certifications in CPR AED, First Aid and Oxygen Administration
• Obtain and maintain required training, including Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation
