Position Summary:

Must have safety as number one priority.  Know and practice Continuous Improvement.  Set up, operate and maintain all aerosol and liquid filling equipment used to produce defect free finished goods.  Assumes responsibility for safety, 6S, quality, and uptime goals.  Follows standard work to meet or exceed established cycle times.

Essential Functions:

·          Able to pass Lean audits (6S, Standard Work, Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) of area

·          Operate and changeover complex packaging equipment supporting the operation of the packaging line

·          Blend raw materials to create product that meets specifications and follows SFO instructions/key points

·          Knows and follows all Standard Work & Key Points

·          Assist with creating, implementing, & sustaining standard work and key points

·          Perform TPM activities of the filler, blending tanks, crimpers/gassers, torquer, heat sealer, and related equipment

·          Perform Quality checks as assigned

·          Meets established change over cycle times consistently by following standard work

·          Work with teams to actively promote Continuous Improvement

·          Assist Team with coordination and pre-planning of changeover activities using SMED tools

·          Work with OTL and Leadership group to understand, analyze, & utilize downtime data to improve uptime

·          Input or acquire information from computer

·          Good attendances record (2 absences or less) and must maintain good attendance

·          Enter accurate data in any process collection system in use

·          Responsible for meeting TAKT time in changeover of equipment

·          Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Physical Demands:

·    Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time

·    Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position

·    Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other works, accurately, loudly, or quickly

·    Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.  Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound

·    Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers

·    The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity with or without assistance such as: operates machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach and performs mechanical or skilled tasks

·    Able to lift 55 pounds occasionally, 25 - 50lbs. consistently

Workplace Requirements:

·    Actively practice safety in all aspects of the job

·    Know and practice proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

·    When required, must be willing to be respirator certified and meet/follow all requirements, including being clean shaven.

·    Know and follow Standard Work

·    Know and recognize quality products and practices, and take action when defects are identified

·    Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes respect and teamwork between coworkers, customers, vendors, supervisor and management

Testing Requirements:

·          Must be able to pass Bennett Mechanical test with a minimum score of 70% or pass the Mechanical Aptitude Test with a minimum score of 75% or have a minimum of 2 years demonstrated technical abilities at ATI

·          Must be able to pass Ramsay Combined Basic Skills test with a minimum score of 70% or have a minimum of 2 years demonstrated technical abilities at ATI

Additional Qualifications:

·          Must be able to climb ladders

·          Must be able to pass forklift test and become forklift certified

·          Must be able to work overtime, or flexible hours when required

·          Demonstrate positive work attitude and help set the standards for the value stream

·          Be willing to become proficient at all aspects of the OP4 position

·          Complete Hazardous Waste Training and Hazardous Waste Management & Emergency Response training

·          This position requires a 2-year commitment unless a new job is a promotion or shift change, based on business need
