Title:                           Leader - Material-Bulk Handler

Reports To:                 Supervisor – Material Handling

Department:              Operations

Supervises:                 N/A

Organizational Relationships: Logistics, Warehouse, Production, Mechanical Team.

Basic Function: Guide, Lead, Train and provide support to Material/Bulk Handlers.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Ability to perform and maintain all functions and fulfill all responsibilities of a Bulk Handler I and Material Handler II.
  2. Employ strong interpersonal skills when interacting with others in the organization while promoting a positive environment.
  3. Must adhere to all G.M.P., GDP, and Safety policies and ensure the Material and Bulk Handler team are also in compliance daily.
  4. Must be able to work Saturdays and overtime based on the needs of the business.
  5. Knowledgeable, cross trained, and able to support all production areas.
  6. Consistently demonstrates the ability to work independently and resolve, or source assistance to resolve, issues within their responsibility, i.e. component quantity/quality issues.
  7. Requires minimal supervision and proven ability to make decisions.
  8. Ability to navigate the planning schedule on Microsoft Teams.
  9. Monitors and ensures all work areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
  10. Ability to successfully train all Material and Bulk Handlers.
  11. Ability to cover for the Supervisor in their absence.
  12. Ability to lead communication meetings.
  13. Participation in Tier 1 DDS meetings.
  14. All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

  1. High School diploma.
  2. Basic computer literacy with some experience in Microsoft Excel
  3. Demonstrated proficiency in company computer systems and equipment pertaining to Bulk /Material Handler position.
  4. Powered industrial lift truck experience – capable of being certified for use on a “as needed basis”.
  5. Minimum of one year in a manufacturing environment and lead role preferred.
  6. Employ good organization, communication and administrative skills.
  7. Must be able to lift/pull and push.
  8. Must have and maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  9. Basic Mathematics and English skills.
  10. Demonstrated strong safety behavior and record.
