Compensation: Hourly starting range $18 - $25, Commensurate to Skills and Experience

Hours:  Full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Maas Energy Works is the leading developer and operator of agricultural waste-to-energy systems in the United States. The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading.

Position Description:  

As a member of the Development team, the Project Manager Assistant will be  responsible for managing various portions of large biogas development projects. A typical day  is filled with answering emails, making phone calls, reviewing design documents, writing  project descriptions, and other technical coordination. This role requires extensive communication between the design team, permitting agencies,  and consultants. The selected candidate will have a keen attention to detail, be highly  organized, have a strong ability to research and learn local environmental regulations and demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities:

  • Quickly learn and grasp a new information 
  • Assist the Project Manager from beginning to end of a project lifecycle 
  • Provide project schedules, coordinate tasks and follow up to ensure milestones are  reached 
  • Coordinate efficiently with the team and any third-party contractors or consultants
  • Proactively identify and assist addressing conflicting issues throughout project life  cycle 
  • Assist the Project Manager documenting and approving any changes to scope of the  project  
  •  Adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines with an analytical and problem solving approach 
  • Proactively achieve task assigned and estimate effort required for each task  
  • Assist the PM in building and maintaining strong relationships with government agencies and consultants
  • Drafting and processing of contracts, purchase orders, and invoices with an understanding of tax requirements and exemptions
  • Responsible for effectively updating database and files with documents pertinent to projects

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, DropBox, and Adobe Acrobat 
  • Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD/drafting experience is preferred  
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized  
  • Self-motivated, forward moving, quick learner 
  • Capacity to approach challenges with critical thinking and problem solving perspectives 
  • Financial analysis experience preferred
  • Engineering or project management background is a plus
  • Must be proficient in English
