About the Job:

As a Senior Quality Engineer specializing in Transportation Management Systems (TMS), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our transportation management software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, identify and troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our TMS products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance methodologies, extensive experience in testing complex software systems, and a deep understanding of transportation logistics.

 

In This Role, You Will: 

  1. Test Strategy Development: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define testing objectives, priorities, and strategies for TMS products.
  2. Test Planning and Execution: Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. Execute tests manually and automate where applicable.
  3. Regression Testing: Implement and maintain robust regression testing processes to validate software changes and enhancements while ensuring backward compatibility and system stability.
  4. Test Automation:  Implement, maintain, and mentor the development of test automation scripts.
  5. Performance Testing: Design and execute performance tests to assess system scalability, responsiveness, and resource utilization under various load conditions. Analyze test results and identify opportunities for optimization.
  6. Integration Testing: Coordinate with external systems and vendors to perform integration testing, ensuring seamless interoperability between TMS components and third-party applications.
  7. Defect Management: Utilize issue tracking tools to log, prioritize, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle. Work closely with development teams to investigate root causes and facilitate timely resolutions.
  8. Quality Assurance Processes: Continuously evaluate and improve quality assurance processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and test coverage.
  9. Documentation: Document test plans, test cases, test results, and other relevant artifacts to maintain comprehensive records and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  10. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with product management, development, customer support, and other cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality and accountability.
  11. Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to junior quality engineers. Lead by example, promoting best practices, innovation, and continuous learning.

Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on testing transportation management systems or related logistics software.
  • Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution across functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
  • Proficiency in the development of test automation scripts that support functional and regression test suites.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Familiarity with transportation industry standards, protocols, and regulations (e.g., EDI, ELD, FMCSA) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to mentor junior team members, influence decision-making, and drive quality initiatives.

This is a hybrid in-office role in Gdańsk, Poland
