About the Job:

We are seeking a talented and motivated full-stack Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer responsible for developing our Transportation Management System, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and contribute to the success of our TMS platform.

 

In This Role, You Will:

  1. Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions using Java and JavaScript web frameworks.
  2. Full Stack Development: Work on both the front-end (Angular/React/jQuery) and back-end (Java) components of applications to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  3. Database Management: Develop and optimize database schemas and queries to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
  4. Testing and Debugging: Write unit tests and conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance. Debug and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  5. Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and best practices.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, tools, and technologies used in development.
  8. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation such as design documents, API documentation, and user guides.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Proven experience in software development with expertise in Java and JavaScript web frameworks.
  3. Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  4. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
  5. Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
  6. Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  7. Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  9. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  2. Familiarity with distributed version control systems such as Git.
  3. Experience with microservices architecture.
  4. Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

 

Location:

This is a hybrid in-office role in Gdańsk, Poland
