Banquet Server

JOB DESCRIPTION
Whether for a wedding, corporate retreat or other upscale gathering, the dining experience is of utmost importance to our guests. Not only do we wish to deliver artfully plated dishes, but we wish to do so with genuine care and the highest customer service. As a Banquet Server, you serve plated meals by course, fill/refill beverages, clear tables, and work as a team with the Banquet chefs, bartenders, event coordinators and other servers to ensure attentive service and a positive guest experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve plated meals or manage buffet stations as dictated by the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
- Serve drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, and refill glasses as needed.
- Provide friendly and attentive service, responding to guest requests and questions in a timely manner.
- Assist in clearing tables, removing decorations, and cleaning up the event space.
- Assist with set-up by arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations as well as polishing silverware and glasses.
- Read and understand the BEO. Review the day’s functions and carry out all specifications according to the memos.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively as a member of the Banquet team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift and carry trays of food, beverages and equipment.
- Stand/walk/be on foot for long hours at a time.
- Walk and move quickly/efficiently through event space and kitchen.
- Ability to bend and reach when serving and setting up.
- Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Stamina
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following safety protocols and health code.
Servers must be at least age 18. Please see position of busser, dishwasher, or prep cook for Food & Beverage positions for those under age 18.
