Paloma Resorts seeks a meticulous and reliable Night Auditor to join our team at The Ridge Hotel in Lake Geneva, WI. The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions during the 11pm-7am night shift, reconciling accounts, and providing exceptional customer service to guests during late hours. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and the ability to work independently.  Part-time for this position is two to three days per week.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Complete Night Audit (posting charges, identifying and correcting discrepancies, and running daily reports) in an accurate and timely manner
  • Complete close day procedures and prepare reports for multiple venues and departments, including Food & Beverage
  • Follow procedures to maintain balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations
  • Transmit credit card batches
  • Complete daily night audit checklist
  • Prepare and distribute Flash and other daily reports for management
  • Act as front desk agent during overnight shift, including:
    • Check in/out processes
    • Answer phones
    • Make reservations
    • Handle guest requests and answer any questions

 

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of the time performing each function to be solely determined by the director based upon departmental and hotel needs.

  • Provide guest with information regarding hotel facilities and local attractions.
  • Ensures common area/lobby is clean.
  • Respond to guest complaints and requests at a high customer service level.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school or equivalent education, preferred
  • One to three years related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced ability for up to 8 hours in length
  • Must be able to reach other departments of the hotel in a timely manner
  • Must be able to work in limited space must be able to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates
  • Ability to spend extended lengths of time viewing a computer screen
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, fax machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.

  • General knowledge of the city where hotel is located and its attractions
  • Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities.
  • Able to problem solve and maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Work as part of a team, but primarily work independently
