Atlantic Tactical, United Uniform, and Lawmen’s make up The Safariland Group’s retail and distribution business consisting of 9 retail locations ranging from the Carolina's through New York. Based on our tremendous growth we are adding to our Retail Team and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Store Associate to be based at our Raleigh, NC location.

JOB SUMMARY 

Provide a high level of customer service and interact with customers. Assist customers in person, over the phone and via email. Handle all retail transactions including cash, credit card, check and on-account purchases. Have a positive attitude and demeanor and are expected to develop a working knowledge of the products that they sell. Provide prompt service to customers and to return phone calls and emails in a timely fashion. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist customers with all types of sales including, but not limited to uniforms, firearms, and ammunition in person, over the phone and via email
  • Complete required sales paperwork and registration documents for firearms sales
  • Accountability in all retail transactions including cash, credit card, and on-account purchases
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service in person and over the phone
  • Research information on products or orders for customers and provide communication to assist them in making the best product choice
  • Assist with inventory placement, organization, and counting
  • Continually develop comprehensive product knowledge on existing and new product lines
  • Attend organizational or training meetings
  • Report problems or issues to the Store Manager or Assistant Manager
  • Merchandise and organize products on the sales floor
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized retail showroom
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY & OPERATIONAL AUTHORITY

  • Reports directly to the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
  • Given business requirements, and in the absence of a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, may have operational control of store for short periods of time

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to adhere to Company policies and procedures
  • Ability to adhere to Company safety policies and procedures
  • Must be able to present a clean, professional image
  • Must be able to keep work environment clean, presentable, and safe
  • Responsible for entering in daily time keeping requirements
  • Ability to pass criminal background check
  • Must have a record of stability with employment history
  • Must have an 'owners not renters' mentality
  • Minimum of one (1) year related experience
  • Sales experience includes handling or selling of firearms or tactical/protective law enforcement or emergency gear
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
