Position Summary:
Novant Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our OBGYN team at East Cooper Breast Specialists. In this role, you will provide comprehensive patient care within an interdisciplinary model, using your expertise to manage and deliver care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Your critical thinking and problem-solving skills will be essential in addressing patient needs and improving outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient care based on Novant Health's established standards, using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, providing clear information and facilitating patient/family education.
Document all patient interactions, assessments, care delivered, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care processes and outcomes.
Stay current with ongoing education requirements, complete annual competencies, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning.
Maintain accountability for fostering a safe and supportive environment for patients, adhering to the principles of "First Do No Harm."
Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse within a medical practice setting, with a focus on OBGYN preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current, valid RN license in South Carolina required.
Skills: Proficiency with medical equipment (e.g., stethoscope, scales, blood pressure cuff), knowledge of Electronic Health Systems, familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT codes, and understanding of clinic policies and procedures.
