Hilton Head Hospital Hilton Head Hospital (HHH) is a 93-bed acute care hospital located at 25 Hospital Center Boulevard in Hilton Head Island, SC. HHH serves Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Okatie and surrounding counties through its care team of over 600 colleagues and over 100 physicians. Surgical Tech OR PRN Days Position Summary
To provide safe and effective surgical care, through the performance of specific duties, as the surgical technologist during surgical and other invasive procedures under the direction of a registered nurse. Performs routine scrub as well as specifically delegated duties according to AST standards and established policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Assist in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current with operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment.
Surgical Tech OR PRN Days Position Requirements:
Education:
1. Certification in Surgical Technology preferred or
2. Provides evidence that they have been employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility in South Carolina prior to January 1, 2008.
Experience:
1. One or more years experience as an OR Surgical Technologist preferred.
2. Membership in CST association preferred.
Other Qualifications:
1. Obtains and/or Maintains current BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
