Job Title: Geospatial Services Team Lead

Job Summary:
Managed Business Solutions is seeking a Geospatial Services Team Lead to provide technical leadership within our dynamic geospatial services team. The Geospatial Services Team Lead reports to the Geospatial Services Practice Lead and will be an active, individual contributor supporting multiple projects as well as provide technical leadership for our team of Geospatial professionals. This is a telecommuting (virtual) role and requires US Citizenship.  

Supervisory Responsibilities:
•    Assists with, interviews, hires, and trains new staff. 
•    Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
•    Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.  
•    Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. 

Duties/Responsibilities:
•    Provide supervision to a team of up to 15 geospatial professionals, including providing mentorship, training enablement, 1:1 meetings, and timesheet approval 
•    Assist with personnel resourcing for project assignments and time allocation 
•    Assist the geospatial services team with internal technical initiatives and project execution, including assisting with technical issues and troubleshooting 
•    Develop, document, and implement best practices across multiple geospatial projects 
•    Work closely with the Geospatial Services Practice Lead to evaluate emerging geospatial technologies, author case studies, white papers and blogs, and conduct proof of concepts 
•    Ensure geospatial project deliverables are of high quality that meet or exceed client expectations   
•    Work closely with geospatial developers, administrators, architects, and analysts on geospatial projects and initiatives 
•    Assist with proposal writing and solution design for potential business opportunities 
•    Help establish and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients   
•    Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement 
•    Perform project-related tasks 
•    Interface with clients, vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met 
•    Attend and participate in geospatial industry events 
•    The position requires up to 5% travel 
•    Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 
•    Ability to provide geospatial solution deliverables, including architecture/solution diagrams, implementation processes, and level of effort estimates 
•    Must be able to work independently or collaboratively depending on task requirements 
•    Work well in a collaborative remote team environment 
•    Must be a US citizen to be considered 
•    Professional and efficient verbal and written communication by email, phone and virtual meetings required. 
•    Must be highly organized with special attention to detail.
•    Excellent interpersonal skills.
•    Critical thinking, big picture thinking, yet able to get detailed when necessary.

Desired Skills: 
•    Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences 
•    Proven leader of high-performance teams

•    Strong desire to learn and achieve professional technical certifications

•    Familiarity with Esri’s well-architected framework 
•    Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services architecture 

Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor's Degree in geospatial technology, environmental science, or related field strongly preferred along with 8+ years of professional experience.
•    Experience providing technical leadership and mentorship. 
•    Experience with Python, JavaScript, .NET, ArcGIS APIs, and ArcGIS SDKs. 
•    Experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, geodatabase administration, mobile data collection, geocoding, Survey123, common Esri ArcGIS spatial analysis and modeling tools.
•    Experience with analyzing potential solutions, tools, and technologies

•    This position will require moving of up to 10 lbs. This position will be mostly stationary requiring some movement around the office and frequent communication with others. The average working hours are 8 hours per day for this position.
