We are seeking a highly skilled Paint and Body Technician with a specialized focus on maintaining and enhancing our fleet of Concrete Mixer Trucks. This role is integral to ensuring our fleet not only operates efficiently but also upholds the aesthetic excellence that sets our brand apart. Candidates are required to have a strong background in paint and bodywork, with a particular emphasis on large vehicles, and demonstrate a commitment to quality that aligns with our goal of having the best-looking concrete mixer trucks on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Painting and Refinishing: Apply paint and refinish to vehicle repair areas, aiming for a finish that surpasses factory quality. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining the visual and structural integrity of our fleet.
  • Safety and Setup: It is mandatory to set up ladders and scaffolding in compliance with all safety regulations. You must also correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and be fully knowledgeable of hazardous waste disposal procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Setup: Setting up portable equipment, including ventilators, exhaust units, ladders, or scaffolding, as dictated by job requirements, is essential. Your ability to effectively manage these tools will ensure efficiency and safety in all tasks.
  • Surface Preparation: Conduct thorough sanding of vehicle surfaces between coats of paint or primer to remove flaws and guarantee enhanced adhesion for subsequent coats. This detailed work is crucial for achieving the desired finish.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Candidates must present evidence of relevant experience in vehicle painting and bodywork, with preference given to those with experience on large vehicles or industrial equipment.
  • Fiberglass Work: Proficiency in working with fiberglass, including repairs and finishing, is mandatory due to the materials employed in our mixer trucks.
  • Quality Standards: The ideal candidate will have a proven record of maintaining high-quality standards in paint and body work, including specific strategies or techniques they would employ to ensure SRM Concrete's mixer trucks are the best-looking on the road.
  • Knowledge of various painting techniques and equipment is required.
  • An understanding of OSHA safety standards, particularly related to hazardous waste disposal, is essential.
  • The ability to handle heavy lifting, climb ladders, and work under different weather conditions is mandatory.
