First Line Leader- Pulp and Power
In operation since 1971, the Ticonderoga Mill produces high end printing and technical papers harvested from Adirondack and Vermont forests. With over 600 dedicated employees focused on safety, environment, quality and production, we operate and monitor various pulping and papermaking processes and systems.
The First Line Leader leads a crew of hourly team members supporting the Pulp and Power operating areas. Lead and engage your team to deliver above expectations results in the areas of safety, environmental, employee engagement, reliability, cost, quality, and productivity. Set expectations, leverage teamwork, and hold individuals and team accountable for results. Hold one-on-one coaching sessions with direct reports for development. Implement reliability and manufacturing excellence initiatives such as work systems, precision maintenance, basic care, and RCFA.
Identify potential safety issues and take measures to proactively address concerns. Actively participate in the mill’s safety program. Actively pursue measures to reduce downtime on production equipment. Identify opportunities and take measures to reduce waste. Oversee the housekeeping efforts in the designated area.
This role is scheduled for rotating 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
- 5 + years experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering fields preferred.
- Must have strong leadership skills and a proven track record of improving employee engagement.
- Previous supervisory experience a plus.
The base compensation range for this position is $77,200.00 to $128,600.00 per year. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
