Essential Job Duties:

The Data Architect will be in a lead role and will be primarily assisting our new clients to perform data migrations from 3rd party legacy systems / databases into the VertexOne VxCIS system. VertexOne is regularly migrating new clients to VxCIS. Clients are responsible for the primary tasks of data extraction and transformation from their legacy systems to fit our VxCIS data input template formats designed for this purpose.

This role will educate and train clients to understand our data templates. Using tools developed using KNIME, this role will process the template data provided by the client to validate data quality. Data of sufficient quality will then undergo minor data transformations and cleansing for preparing it to be imported into an IBM i DB2 database. This role involves regular communication with client company project stakeholders and data extractors.

Skills/Requirements:

  • 8 years+ experience in a lead technical data analysis role (Data Architech, Data Engineer, or Data Analyst) preferred
  • Must have strong SQL development experience 
  • Must have experience with ETL 
  • Strong Data Analytics is required 
  • KNIME development experience preferred
  • IBM i DB2 or other DB2 platform experience 
  • End user training experience preferred
  • Experience working with offshore teams
  • Microsoft Excel VBA development experience preferred
  • Utility Industry experience is a plus (Water, Sewer, Electric, Gas, Refuse)
  • This role will include travel to client sites about 5% of the time
