Position Summary

As a Reliability Engineer, you will oversee the processes in the field-based maintenance facilities and improve the overall reliability of the company's pressure-pumping equipment.  The Reliability Engineer is responsible for streamlining, creating, and modifying the maintenance shop processes, guidelines, and best practices; validating RCA and the implementation of the corrective actions in the shops and the field, and creating and implementing of business systems to ensure that all data is captured in support of the shops and Reliability department.

Key Accountabilities

  • Works hand in hand with product champion and operations management on field tests of new equipment.
  • Works with local Maintenance Manager on shop setup and proper workflow to ensure efficiency.
  • Support efforts such as RCM analysis, and preventative maintenance optimization to identify the best maintenance tactic for assets.
  • Identify, implement, and drive Lean/continuous improvement efforts that improve asset availability and utilization through reducing asset quantities waiting for maintenance, down for parts, down for failure, and work-in-process to improve the overall TCO.
  • Identify new opportunities and develop business cases for projects about rework/reuse parts, service-level kits, and equipment design improvements.
  • Prioritizes process implementation and process review based on business needs and differentiates between one-fits versus area needs.
  • Reviews Audits test stand data as per a defined schedule to ensure units are being properly tested and help improve test stand processes.
  • Supports and validates the root cause analysis for failed equipment in the field, shop, and test stand and executes the action plans, verifies corrective action, and corrective action implementation (CAI).
  • The owner (CAO) to resolve and prevent future incidents.
  • Supports special projects from the Equipment Health team.
  • Performs major component vendor process audits.
  • Receive reviews from staff about drawbacks while using the equipment and make necessary changes if possible.
  • Prepares and maintains reports on various issues that have occurred or been resolved.
  • Conducts vendor reviews with Product Champions and Asset Department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A firm understanding of hydraulics, mechanical power, chemistry, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office applications, Excel, MS Word, etc...
  • Ability to learn and become a SME on Maintenance business systems.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Initiatives with the ability to become Lean Certified
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Multitasking, interpersonal communication and attention to detail are all required skills.
  • Work closely with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and HSE Managers.

Language Comprehension

Ability to understand and speak English at a level of proficiency allowing employees to issue, receive, and respond to both safety and operations related directions in English.

Minimum Required Education

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or similar Engineering is required.

Minimum Required Work Experience

  • 5 years of experience in maintenance, or reliability is required.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
