Summary: To provide Marketing management support to the Retail and Other Food Processors    segment across North America to enable sustainable and profitable growth aligned with our Purpose Driven Strategy and Aspirations.

 

To drive profitable growth by providing strategic guidance, focus, and flawless execution of all Marketing activities within grow aggressive customer segment and with targeted local customers.

 

This individual acts as the strategic thought partner and liaison between Business Development and Category Marketing teams, ensuring segment/customer insights and information are infused into Segment and Customer plans. This individual must be capable of turning insights into opportunities and driving customers to Griffith Foods solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • In alignment with the Director of Customer Segment marketing, is responsible for the development and scale of growth strategies for the Retail & Other Food processors Segment across North America, rooted in segment and customer insights and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Drives the full product category portfolio relevant to focus segment within the region promoting value propositions to our customers and prospects and influence portfolio management decisions (renovation, rationalization, optimization, and innovation) based on the translation of segment and customer insights.
  • Collaborates with the Product Category Management managers in the development of effective Value Propositions for our products at our Customer Segments and develop value-based selling and brand related materials.
  • Clearly positions Griffith Foods as the preeminent product development partner with key customers, collaborating with cross-functional peers to deliver best-in-class customer solutions.
  • Leads commercial efforts at trade events designed to elevate the Griffith Foods brand within targeted segment-specific trade organizations (eg-NRA/Boston Seafood Show/etc).
  • Develops and cascades prospecting lists to Business Development teams based on industry, segment, and customer assessments.
  • Serves as a key project manager, supporting the Business development team on customer-specific product development opportunities.
  • Responsible for the achievement of financial goals within key segments and with key customers a-as a key contributor and leader in the development of Penetration and Acquisition strategies aligned with Account Plans for Key Retail & Other Food processors Customers across NA.
  • In collaboration with the Product Category Management, R&D and Business Development teams define and execute strategies to accelerate the commercialization of Innovation across Retail & Other Food processors segment.
  • Provide feedback from Retail & Other Food processors customers to Category marketing and R&D teams on Innovation and input to consider for future development and value creation for Retail & Other Food processors in NA.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to define the approach and execute plans to grow business with selected NA Retail & Other Food processors accounts.
  • Supports the Commercial Teams (Sales, Marketing, R&D, Culinary) to leverage and utilize the tools and communication programs to drive the positioning of our products to our Customers and Prospects in the Retail & Other Food processors segment.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • B.S. Degree in Marketing or Business
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in a Marketing or Business role.
  • Experience in a food company, ideally in Marketing, Trade Marketing or Product Development.
  • Experience in Business-to-Business and clear understanding of how to create and deliver value propositions to customers.
  • Highly skilled in the use of PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other commonly used computer programs.
  • Strong and proven organization and communications skills.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills in a multi-functional business environment.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish.
  • 30% travel required (domestic & international – USA, Canada, Mexico)
