POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for the movement of returned good from receiving to final disposition.  This includes receiving, decontaminating, evaluating, service/repair/reprocessing of capital and sterile equipment, and complaint closure.  The RGA Service Technician will coordinate and lead the analysis of complaint devices with the responsible engineer and will be responsible for interacting with customers and sales personnel to process the return of AtriCure products from the field to the home office

                                                                  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Assisting the RGA Service Associate with returns of devices for analysis.
    • Receive and reconcile all Returned Goods 
    • Decontaminate all product returns per procedures
    • Determination of returned product as Service, Complaint, Return to Stock (RTS), or Scrap
    • Re-package of all Return to Stock devices / Return to Stock Capital Equipment
    • Coordinate appropriate inventory transactions for all Returned Goods
    • Maintain inventory for all servicing materials
  • Assist the Product Repair Technicians with servicing of capital equipment.
    • Evaluate all capital equipment upon RGA completion
    • Perform maintenance / repair functions on Atricure and customer owned capital equipment.
    • Diagnose / troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on capital equipment
    • Service capital equipment utilizing standard and specialized test equipment / procedures
    • Re-package, and complete all required documentation per Atricure procedures
    • Assist with developing and implementing preventive maintenance processes and procedures.
    • Perform basic administrative tasks such as filling out inspection and repair forms
    • Initiate device/equipment analysis and complete all repairs/servicing required
    • Document all services completed within repair log
  • Work with outside services, such as a capital equipment supplier or end users
  • Comply with company policies
  • Performs company activities, in addition to the above as assigned by the Service Supervisor

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a product service or comparable position
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in issue resolution and problem solving
  • Basic understanding regarding FDA regulations and guidelines
  • High level of attention to details
  • Written/Report writing skills
  • Verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving/troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read technical specifications

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or accredited certification in technical field
  • Inspection/testing experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
  • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 45 pounds, occasionally lift over 50 pounds
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
