Job Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY:  The NDT technician performs non-destructive inspection of components to ensure compliance with Company’s quality system, specifications, and customer requirements. Non-destructive testing disciplines include penetrant testing and radiography testing.

  • Analyze, Interpret, evaluate and document NDT inspection results in accordance with company procedures, work instructions, applicable standards, specifications, and procedures
  • Record inspection, test data and statistics manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based system
  • Use comparators, micrometers, scales and calipers
  • Ensure completeness of work in process documentation
  • Read, interpret and set up applicable NDT equipment
  • Read and interpret all inspection data and customer requirements
  • Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Manual
  • Maintain and promote “One Chromalloy” Core Values
  • Maintain and promote 5S standards in the work area
  • Adhere to all Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties
  • Analyze, Interpret, evaluate and document NDT inspection results in accordance with company procedures, work instructions, applicable standards, specifications, and procedures.  Interpret specifications relative to NDT testing and acceptance/rejection criteria.
  • Responsible for writing rework procedure when parts are nonconforming.
  • Record inspection, test data and statistics manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based system
  • Use comparators, micrometers, scales and calipers
  • Ensure completeness of work in process documentation
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
  • Ensure compliance with Company RSM/QCM.  Must be aware of ISO/AS9100 quality requirements
  • Regular and punctual attendance.
  • Follow all Quality and EHS requirements.

Qualifications

 

  • Must have passed a Level II certification test in one or more NDT disciplines in use at the company and have previously performed as an NDT Technician.
  • Must have a High School education or equivalent in addition to 1 year of specific and related experience. 
  • Must be able to work first or second shift.
  • Local candidate preferred
