Job Title: Sr. Director of Human Resources Operations

Location:  Huntersville, North Carolina

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Human Resources Operations to lead and oversee all HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, optimizing HR processes, and managing the compensation and benefits programs. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to excellence in HR operations and employee support.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Operations and Compliance:

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of labor laws and regulations and ensure HR practices align with legal requirements.
  • Oversee HR recordkeeping, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Ensure annual compliance reporting is completed accurately and on time.
  • Streamline and optimize HR processes for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage company risk exposure related to HR operations.
  • Direct the operations and staff of the HR department, including recruitment.
  • Ownership of HRIS administration related to employment.
  • Establish and maintain high HR customer service standards.
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, forecast needs, and provide data-driven insights to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and Risk Management to prevent employee and labor disputes.
  • Work with field leadership on benefits, payroll/timekeeping, and HRIS strategy to align with compliance and financial goals.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Manage the strategic relationship with the benefits broker to ensure efficient administration of Health and Welfare benefit plans.
  • Implement communication and training programs for employees regarding compensation and benefits.
  • Lead the design and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation and benefits.
  • Analyze market trends to recommend adjustments to compensation and benefits packages.
  • Oversee the annual open enrollment process.
  • Manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations related to benefit programs and labor law, including ERISA, FMLA, and HIPAA, including required testing and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a senior-level HR Manager/Director or similar leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices, Wage & Hour, Compensation, and Benefits.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
  • Track record of implementing innovative HR strategies to support rapid growth and scalability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Experience with contract and vendor relationship management in various HR disciplines.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel, HRIS, and other HR-related systems and software, with superuser experience being helpful.
