Master Data Management Analyst - Data and Analytics

Location: Longueuil, Canada (Hybrid, must be local)

 

Job Summary:

 

As the Master Data Management (MDM) Analyst at kdc/one, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes, guidelines and guardrails to ensure successful creation, maintenance and scaling of key corporate data entities from the Data Governance and MDM perspective. This includes collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and partners in the end-to-end process of developing forms, tools, dashboards etc. to support data owners and data stewards in creation, monitoring and maintenance of the “golden record” of corporate data entities and their critical data elements (CDE). You will also be responsible of establishing development and deployment standards and to help align current and future Master Data Management solutions to such standards.  You will also be interacting with Data Owners, Data Stewards and Data Custodians to make sure new CDE creation, development, deployment and maintenance standards are consistently applied and followed.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Leading MDM Critical Data elements development, deployment, and maintenance: Gathers business requirements for key corporate data entities and translates them into technical specifications and MDM Playbook. This also includes creation of procedures and controls to ensure CDE’s are consistently and uniformly created and maintained in the corporate ERP solutions.
  • Establishing forms, tools and controls of MDM CDE’s creation and maintenance: Ensures creation and maintenance standards are implemented and followed to guarantee Critical Data Elements consistency across D&A MDM Solutions, ERP’s, Data Management, Data Architecture and Infrastructure.
  • Data Integration: Ensures data accuracy, consistency, completeness, reliability, relevance, timeliness and uniqueness of the MDM CDE’s by performing regular data audits and quality checks in accordance with Data Governance policies, guidelines and guardrails.
  • Strategy And Planning: Develops short-term tactical D&A MDM solutions to help achieve long-term objectives aligned with D&A Strategy and D&A roadmap.
  • Data and MDM Governance: Assist Data Owners with assessing and designing the MDM portion of the Data Governance and CDE development and management framework across the organization.
  • Process Improvement:Assist in designing scalable and maintainable MDM architecture. This also includes work on modernizing and improving current kdc/one data governance and MDM processes.
  • Data Quality: Establish, design, and implement procedures for data quality tracking and for improvement by working in collaboration with the business stakeholders. This also includes working with the business to streamline data governance and MDM processes and enhance Data Quality.
  • Dashboarding and Reporting: Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports that are providing data-driven insights to support business and governance decisions.
  • MDM Training and Coaching: Develop and implement trainings, form and dashboard templates and coaching sessions to help highlight why Data Governance and MDM are key portions of the overall Data Strategy. This includes working with Data Stewards and Data Custodians to ensure proper use of corporate ERP systems in terms of MDM and CDE’S.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education Required:

 

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, computer science, data science or related field, or equivalent work experience. Academic qualifications or professional training and experience are also desirable.

 

Experience Required:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in MDM and data management.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with data analytics, data management and data visualization tools
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with relational and dimensional databases.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, modern data warehouse tools

 

Skills Required:

 

  • Great communication and training skills
  • SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with Data Governance, MDM and Data Quality tools
  • Mastery of data governance principles and best practices
  • Knowledge of relevant data privacy regulations
  • Knowledge of industry specific Master Data Domains
  • Knowledge of data modeling principles.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage resources for a specific project.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills: time management and planning.
  • Familiar with big data technologies and modern Cloud Data warehousing tools.
  • Knowledge of trends and developments in the fields of data visualization and data analytics.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills. Bi-lingual, French/English, preferred (Requires working with our US and Quebec sites)
