Located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin’s top resort town, Destination Geneva National is a popular spot for golfers, foodies, and vacationers alike and GN’s Clubhouse is the hub of all activity and home to turf and Member Tap, the two restaurants that service resort guests and private membership. Our dynamic and creative culinary team is seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join the kitchen that creates high-end Tex-Mex, bistro-style, and signature modern fusion dishes with flair. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes consistent with the restaurant's innovative menu.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef refine existing menu items and suggest additional concepts.
  • Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring it operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation in your work area.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and performance.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure adequate supply of ingredients.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the correct portion size and presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to continuously improve processes and culinary techniques.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-end restaurant.
  • Strong culinary skills. Experience in Tex-Mex, American, and modern fusion cuisine a plus.
  • Culinary degree a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary innovation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Manual dexterity for handling kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Capability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently
  • Endurance to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Visual acuity to ensure the quality and presentation of dishes
  • Ability to handle repetitive motions, such as chopping, stirring, and whisking
  • Capacity to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
