Job specific summary

We are looking for a self-motivated and highly energetic candidate to fill our open role of Quality Control Technician. On-the-job training and mentoring will be provided to the incumbent. As such, candidates must have a strong desire to build a career in the skin care/hair care/cosmetics industry and should display a strong willingness to learn their craft.

Essential functions and responsibilities

• Perform internal calibration & documentation of lab instrument
• Perform stability testing on all newly created formulas.
• Document results of physical and chemical testing.
• Prepare stability reports and upload to database.
• Perform package stability testing on all approved formulas.
• Prepare package stability reports and upload to database.
• Manage outsourced laboratory testing (ie. micro challenge, SPF etc.)
• Manage outsourced clinical safety testing (ie. RIPT. In-use safety, ocular safety)•Provide support to any investigation regarding formula non-conformance.
• Responsible for the following established SOPs and safety policies.

Education Experience

• Four-year degree in chemistry, biochemistry or chemical engineering is preferred.
• 0 years of related work required.

Skills & Desired Traits

• Ability to read product specifications.
• Ability to use standard lab equipment such as a pH meter and viscometer.
• Highly motivated to develop a career in the skin care industry.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

• Must work well with others or alone, under minimal supervision.
