The purpose of the role

 

Work autonomously to maintain & grow the business via the development of profitable, delicious, nutritious & sustainable products &/or solutions for selected customers.

Solutions should be process stable, both internally and externally, whilst still ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.

 

Today Griffith Foods Europe has several vacancies to complete our continental R&D team in Valls (Spain) or Herentals (Belgium). We are hiring talented Food Technologists to meet the needs of the team in the specialty of functional seasonings for meat & poultry.

 

Responsabilites: 

 

Support the R&D activities and responsibilities that:

  • Will contribute to the growth of our product range and customer base

Support the development of new products for our targeted customers

  • Act as the technical contact for our customers in Continental Europe
  • Develop presentations, organise and execute workshops and train the customer showing our products in applications & marketable formats, in cooperation with sales and marketing

Create innovative seasoning & coating systems for protein based substrates

  • Develop winning products and for meat and poultry to create winning new products
  • Look actively for innovative raw materials and systems
  • Conduct raw material evaluations

 

Requirements:

 

  • Master/bachelor in Food Science or FoodTechnology or equivalent by proven experience
  • A level of relevant and proven experience within the food industry
  • Language skills: fluent in English. Spanish or Dutch will be valuable
  • Project Management skills
  • Experience in development and application of seasonings is a plus  
  • Passionate about food and customer focus
  • Strong team player and able to work independently on product development projects
  • Self-confident and enthusiastic in presenting product concepts to customers
  • Creative, hands-on, accurate and well-organised 
  • Flexible in willing to travel within Europe to support our customers
