Overview:

 

The main functions of a Facilitator include the ability to deliver and evaluate a range of engaging learning content for multiple programs utilizing adult learning principles as well as the management of learning logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers new hire, refresher content, and newly developed content to groups and individuals covering a range of products, technical, operational, soft skills, and leadership content.
  • Facilitates interactive and participatory learning content using adult learning techniques to ensure maximum engagement and knowledge retention and transfer of learning.
  • Prepares and conducts learning sessions using a variety of methodologies, such as online learning, role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, within online/virtual learning environments.
  • Organizes and distributes appropriate, relevant, and updated learning materials; learner/facilitator tools and course materials such as job aids and online course materials.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues or seeks technical support in a timely manner to facilitate learning.
  • Manages all learning logistics/resources forassigned programs required tools and processes. i.e.: scheduling classes, learner, and facilitator scheduling.
  • Daily monitoring and updating of GL&D Support Request assignments and completion of tasks.
  • High proficiency with using online meeting/learning tools, break-out rooms (in-classroom or virtual), and assignment of content and materials.
  • Manages a professionally structured class environment according to established policies and procedures i.e.: classroom management, attendance/tardiness issues, engagement of learners in an online environment.
  • Delivers required completion reports, test scores, and surveys in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assists in assessing, updating, and preparation of learning materials to support current/new programs.
  • Reviews Course Evaluation results and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Keeps abreast of Industry trends and best practices to continuously improve content delivery.

 

  

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in adult teaching/training/development, education, communications, or related field
  • Two plus years of facilitation and learning logistics experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service/interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one’s time with some direction, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Intermediate knowledge of online learning processes and principles, facilitation skills, and classroom management.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint, and Teams in a business setting.
  • Basic knowledge of LMS.
