Job Summary

Collaborates with Product Management, Sales and Marketing teams (Demand Generation and Brand/Creative) to develop innovative programs that drive demand.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Serves as the subject matter expert for market competitive intelligence, such as identification of OEC buyers and their buying patterns and factors that influence the purchase.

2. Collaborates with product management to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with targeted buyer personas.

3. Understands and documents the buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drives changes to the company’s sales and marketing processes based on what is learned.

4. Develops a marketing plan for the products supported in conjunction with the marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.

5. Delivers foundational product/solution content and collateral - including customer presentations, product collateral, videos, use cases, case studies and value visualization ROI.

6. Drives/owns sales readiness and demand generation to meet prioritized growth targets.

7. Assesses the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support targeted products on an ongoing basis and reports back to the manager/the business on required changes.

8. Plans the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products and manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan. Owns the plan + deliverables and leverages appropriate teams for execution.

9. Understands and supports OEC’s sales channels; provides training on problems we solve for our buyers and users; develops internal tools and external collateral items and educates sales on best approach for when and how to use the sales support tools.

Education

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a focus in marketing, business, or related discipline. In the absence of a degree, equivalent work experience directly related to the key responsibilities of the role will be considered as a substitute for the degree.

Experience

At least 4 years of product marketing experience in the automotive industry. Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

· Can apply advanced marketing principles and is able to think creatively.

· Comfortable with taking ownership of work, independently completing projects, and meeting assigned deliverables with limited guidance.

· Ability and willingness to mentor junior level staff.

· Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, and intuitively knows when to push back or when to dive in based on opportunity value and sales goals.

· Solid experience working with different tech stacks, including CRMs and project management tools, especially Microsoft Dynamics, Hubspot, and Wrike.

· Quickly learn and gain an in-depth understanding of OEC’s products value proposition in a way that resonates with the audience and clearly articulations how we solve our buyers’ problems.

· Can apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, identify patterns, draw valid conclusions on what’s working and what isn’t, and offer recommendations for continuous improvement.
