Position: Purchasing Coordinator
Location: Monterrey, Nuevo León
Reports to: Karla Donjuan
Summary:
- Support the NA purchasing buyer’s activities, material planners, R&D and other functions as needed in the North America Region (Canada, United States and Mexico).
Major duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop tools and processes across region and make gap analysis to the team and partners based on organizational priorities.
- Manage contract process to ensure gaps in material coverage are identified, contracted and entered into systems to support sourcing efforts across North American region.
- Support buyers in soliciting, obtaining and inputting contract balances and sustainability supplier documents into Griffith Foods systems.
- Analyze, request & maintain supplier documentation across North America in accordance with organization policy.
- Supporting generation of reports on market conditions related to Griffith Foods sourcing activities and suppliers.
- Maintain ERP systems as it relates to Purchasing.
- Enter blanket purchase order information.
- Maintain the approved supplier list on the purchasing portal.
- Maintain all suppliers contact and commercial information in Microsoft Dynamics and GAPPS
- Maintain supplier documentation in GAPPS.
- Submit Supplier Requirement Handbook to all new suppliers and existing suppliers.
- Add new suppliers to Microsoft Dynamics and GAPPS.
- Process and arrange with our suppliers return of product that has been rejected.
- Update systems and scan supplier documentation relating to approved GPE projects.
- Back up coverage for pricing requests.
- Support with documentation and information in audits.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 3 years of experience
- Bilingual (Spanish & English)
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.).
- Highly skilled in use of Powerpoint, Excel, Word and other commonly used computer programs.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills.
- General knowledge of ERP or Supply Chain software, systems and processes.
- General knowledge of document management/record keeping.
- Ability to carry out job responsibilities in a self-directed and autonomous manner within the department’s policies, procedures and administrative priorities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team and suppliers; Ability to lead teams.
