Senior Manager, Benefits & Global Mobility:

Lead a dynamic team and shape the benefits and global mobility landscape for Sylvamo’ s 6,500 employees spanning more than a dozen countries. Design effective programs, navigate contractual complexities, and maximize ROI while ensuring compliance and program efficacy.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Program Management:
    • Craft and implement a diverse portfolio of benefits and mobility

programs: health & welfare, life/disability insurance, retirement plans, and international assignments.

    • Own the complete mobility lifecycle: navigate pre-assignment logistics (visa processing, cultural training, relocation), manage during-assignment compensation and compliance, and guide smooth repatriation and career reintegration.
    • Champion innovation: develop and implement cutting-edge benefits solutions to attract and retain top talent, align with evolving business needs, and optimize costs.
    • Analyze existing programs: assess effectiveness, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend strategic changes to enhance ROI and overall value.
    • Budget and contract management: oversee benefits and mobility budgets and negotiate cost-effective vendor contracts for services like

housing, cultural training, and language courses.

·         Contract & Vendor Management:

    • Become the expert: deeply understand vendor capabilities, service offerings, and pricing models to secure optimal value for the company.
    • Negotiate with conviction: leverage extensive experience to secure favorable terms and conditions in vendor contracts, upholding company interests and minimizing risk.
    • Oversee vendor performance: monitor service delivery, address concerns promptly, and ensure seamless program execution through strong vendor relationships.
    • Manage contractual obligations: ensure compliance with all terms and conditions, proactively manage renewal processes, and mitigate potential risks.

·         Compliance & Administration:

    • Safeguard against risk: ensure seamless legal compliance for all programs and vendor contracts across diverse geographic landscapes.
    • Mastermind program administration: oversee internal teams and external vendors to deliver a flawless employee experience.
    • Compliance reporting: prepare and submit legally required reports with accuracy and timeliness.
    • Provides supporting materials for retirement plan oversight committee and support for the annual reporting required to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.

·         Communication & Support:

    • Become the voice of benefits & mobility: develop and execute clear communication strategies to educate employees on program details and value.
    • Champion employee experience: provide guidance and support throughout the relocation process, from pre-departure planning to post- assignment reintegration.
    • Build bridges: foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure program success and smooth employee transitions.

·         Leadership & Expertise:

    • Lead with vision: drive strategic decision-making to control program costs and maximize the return on investment in employee benefits.
    • Empower your team: assess needs, prioritize tasks, and provide coaching and development opportunities for your direct reports.
    • Command respect at the negotiating table: secure favorable terms with vendors and consultants, upholding company interests and maximizing value.
    • Stay ahead of the curve: possess in-depth knowledge of SOX requirements, government regulations, and best practices in benefits and mobility programs.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in benefits and/or global mobility program management.
  • Proven track record of success in designing, implementing, and managing complex programs.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Negotiation expertise and experience securing cost-effective vendor contracts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Knowledge of SOX requirements, government regulations, and relevant best practices in benefits and mobility.
  • Professional certification in benefits such as a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation is preferred.

 

This position will follow Sylvamo's Hybrid work schedule 3+ day in office
