The purpose of the role

The purpose of the role is to drive the European strategy of Pan-European accounts within the European region and be responsible for its execution, ensuring sustainable growth and alignment with the overall European Griffith Foods strategy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Full responsibility for the selected Pan-European accounts
  • Building a strategic account plan for the identified accounts serving as the foundation of the Long-Term Plan and in line with the Best-fit-model
  • Strategic management of the Pan- European account, managing business development and customer relationships as well as actively prospecting and detection of new opportunities
  • Collaborate and work with development, marketing and culinary leadership to define and execute the future strategic direction of the customers/items portfolio within GF and ensure sustainable profitable relationships.
  • Build, develop and facilitate appropriate top to top relationships at all relevant levels within the Customer
  • Drive effective account management, creating strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders of the customer and co-ordinate all customer appointments, presentations and demonstrations alongside marketing and development functions. Obtain and follow-up on customer’s feedback and/or queries
  • Manage all relevant internal relationships to enable delivery of commercial objectives and supply clear customer forecast information to enable efficient planning and scheduling
  • Support wider sales team as required
  • Supports and enables the integration of innovative ideas, new commercial and marketing initiatives, proposals, projects, improvements, etc.
  • Continually challenging the status quo and pro-actively looking for opportunities to improve margins and enhancing the contribution to the overall results of Griffith Foods Europe
  • Participates in the preparation of plans, and submits annual budgets, strategic plans, operating plans, estimates, forecasts, statistics, analysis, and financial information related to ongoing business requirements. 
  • Facilitate pro-active customer development pipeline management with Marketing
  • Ensure to deliver on the KPI’s in relation to the customers and contract negotiations.
  • Follow the market, competition and technical evolution and shares relevant information with internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively and visibly supports the Health and Safety standards, rules, and regulations of the organization.
  • Secures creation and sharing of sales reports, weekly and monthly progress reporting on sales execution towards the relevant stakeholders 

 

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree preferably in Food Sciences, Business Administration, Economics or Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a commercial role with minimum 5 years’ experience in large international company and multi-cultural environment in B2B ingredient sales within the food industry
  • In-depth knowledge of Segments industry, market characteristics and trends
  • English business competent, 2nd European language expected
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, CRM, ERP system
  • Proactive mindset, can work independently and as a part of a team
  • Strong commercial acumen, ability to successfully negotiate and influence
  • Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage time and workload
  • Passion for food
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Driving license
  • Availability to travel regularly
  • Ability to build strong relationships across functions, hierarchies and cultures
